Shaun
Dean, REMTP I/C President and Lead Instructor
Shaun has
more than 20 years experience in prehospital emergency medicine.
He has been a paramedic for 14 years, and is currently a senior
paramedic and preceptor with Greater Lowell EMS. He and his fellow
preceptors at GLEMS were profiled in the March, 2003 issue of the
Journal of EMS
for their mentoring of student paramedics.
Shaun is
also a member of the North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement
Council SWAT team, and a Massachusetts state examiner for both the
Basic and Advanced Life Support tests.
As a Massachusetts
certified EMS instructor, Shaun has been training EMTs for over
10 years in a variety of settings, including military, police and
fire departments, and colleges. He is on the faculties of Tufts
University and U Mass Lowell, where he teaches popular EMT-Basic
courses. He is also an instructor for the Massachusetts Criminal
Justice Training Council
He also teaches
public classes in CPR, 1st Responder, EMT-Basic, Basic Trauma Life
Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as well as refresher
and continuing education classes for EMS providers.
